Ruth Gayatri

A yoga practice is a path to self-understanding, universal connection and uplifting your energy. It develops your capacity to self-nurture and heal, and opens your awareness to the magic, awe and wonder of life. It allows you to transcend the everyday, whilst remaining grounded and fully present.

Ruth’s yoga classes focus on contentment, joy, and stepping out of flight or flight living. Through the practice of postures, slow movement, breath control and meditation you are guided to dissolve anxiety and tension, soothe the nervous system, and develop awareness. Practices are cued for every ability and an emphasis is placed on listening to the wisdom of your own body.

Ruth has been teaching yoga for 15 years in South Gippsland. She completed over 700 hours of training with Swami Jayananda Saraswati at a small studio in the Mirboo North forest. She has since studied with Simon Borg Oliver and Loraine Rushton and now in 2022 has commenced studies at Yoga Therapy Institute. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts and a Post Graduate Diploma of Education.

She believes that to heal and uplift the global energy, we first begin with ourselves.
